I think there's no reason AT ALL to be talking about how sad they are for defending somebody they like. Alot of people sit around here all day talking about how much they hate her, and correct me if I'm wrong, but where the hell is the difference?

Don't tell me that if you found a board online where your favorite artist was the topic of conversation, people talking about how much they hate that person, you wouldn't join to if not defend the person, at least just join in on the conversation.

I am not anti Courtney, but I sure as hell am not pro Courtney either, I just joined this board because I have an interest in her because I am a Kurt fan (Although I must admit I do like some of her music, but I just don't consider myself a fan) and I just wanted to join in on the conversation.

If this board would be filled with people that felt the exact same way about Courtney, there wouldn't be any discussion, and without a discussion here, what the hell is this? Nothing.

If I came across a board with a bunch of people hating my favourite artist I'd be curious as to the reason for so much hatred. I'd want to know why? I'd probably do a lot of reading.

For me, it has nothing to do with her music as I am indifferent to it. I certainly wouldn't waste my time on an Anti-board just because I didn't like somebody's music!

I dislike Courtney Love as a person. Her are 11 fast reasons why I dislike her:-
(1.) Her use of violence.
(2.) Her above the law attitude.
(3.) Her irresponsible parenting skills
(4.) Her attempts at supressing free speech by threats.
(5.) Her distortion of facts and her attempts to rewrite history.
(6.) Her skanky behaviour.
(7.) Her lies.
(8.) Her over-inflated ego and the stupid things she says.
(9.) Her drug use.
(10.) Her socio-psychopathic personality.
(11.) Her freeloading ways (see lawsuits, damage of property, not paying for services, employees salaries, etc.)

I feel that her obsessive control and her lies over how she tries to portray herself is a crass attempt to dupe the public. Furthermore any celebrity that uses threats of violence or acts on them deserves condemnation.

Being a New Yorker, I am greatly relieved that's she selling up and moving back to LA. Like most states we have own petty criminals, crAckwh0res, panhandlers, junkies, hookers, and low life, without needing Courtney Love! I don't give a f*ck, if she's a rock star or a movie star. And from what I've read about this woman and how she's behaved (there are countless sources, pick up a newspaper), I think that I have good reason to dislike her, I'm still waiting to someone to stop me and say, 'you're making a big mistake, she does incredible work for Unicef', but I doubt that I'll ever hear that because the only work that Courtney Love has ever done has been for her own gain. A digusting human being and a worthless celebrity. I rest my case. Axxx

Tell me, Andrea, just out of curiosity, do you hate Courtney or are you merely contemptuous of her? I know alot of people on this board hate her for various reasons and some of them adore her for her "strength" and a few of us pity her. Which catagory do you fall under? I'm just curious; I really like reading your posts because they're quite level-headed. I know you hate her past actions, as do I, but what about the person?

Do you think the case will ever be reopened? Personally, I think the more people who are aware of the evidence of murder, the more probable the case will be reopened, but when remains to be seen. It's been 10 years and while Kurt has been gone Courtney has been living the high-life with HIS money. If she's guilty, how much longer will she ride this wave before she completely wipes out?

I must be tired....yet another cold is coming on, my third this season thanks to Kara and preschool, and I just had some Nyquil. I like Nyquil. ;D

Contempt. It is hard to feel pity for Courtney Love. We are talking about a woman who has allegedly staged overdoses before, and who makes lists with reminders to ‘Get Arrested’! A women who is known to be a deceitful manipulator and liar. For example, After losing custody of FB, her continual denial in press interviews of drug usage during 2003 & 04 when we know that it wasn't until August 04 when she underwent rehab after being appointed a legal guardian.

Furthermore, most of the lawsuits that she’s recently involved with have been of her own creation and could easily have been avoided. It would be a whole different story if Kristin King had beaten up Courtney Love with a flashlight and bottle, but that isn’t the case here… and Courtney Love does have quite a lengthy history of violence...

I don't have much time to post today but I did post a lengthier blurb in response to your poll on Sunday. That would be great. The case being repopened by Frances Bean and all, but I don't think that will happen. She was raised by Courtney and brainwashed by her at the same time.Think about it.If you were Courtney's child would you think she was capable of murder?

You are right, naturally if I was Courtney's child (perish that thought) I wouldn't like to think that she was capable of murder. However, Frances Bean, as an adult, is going to have some curiosity about her father and who he was, how he came by his reputation, and how he died. As much as Courtney might try and shield her or brainwash her, sooner or later she'll come across the murder theory and whatever evidence Tom Grant is holding. You can deny so much, but you can't deny taped conversations.

As I've said before, I don't think that the murder theory is going to go away and I really think that it's short-sighted of Courtney Love to deny it and pretend that it doesn't exist. If anything, unless she can retain another fortune to arm herself with lawyers and threats of libel, then I think that it's probable that in the future more people will be writing about it, talking about it, making more documentaries about it, etc. And lets face it babe, unless she has a miraculous ressurrection, her career is already close to rock bottom. I don't think that it will be in Branson's (Virgin) interest to protect her since she isn't the lucrative commodity that she was in the 90s under Geffen. If she ever was, because industry rumour has it that a great deal of the reputed $40 million Cobain fortune went into funding Courtney's career.

Furthermore, now that the theory is out in the open (as a published source) there is nothing to stop future writers publishing articles even unauthorised biographies on Cobain and including the theory as the liability will hang on Grant, Wallace and Halperin as the original source. Grant's covered his a$$ because he has it on tape. Even if the information can be proved to be an outright lie, he can always produce the tape and say'as told to me by Courtney Love, Rosemary Carrol, the SPD, or whoever'.

Denial or supression (which looks all the more suspicious) isn't going to make the theory go away. Another lie-o-graphy won't help because it will be siezed by her detractors and more material will be scrutinised and possibly exposed as lies which isn't going to do her credibility any good. If she is innocent of any involvement she should get herself vindicated before it's too late. Exoneration and a full public apology if applicable is the only way that the murder theory will ever stop hounding Courtney Love. Without vast amounts of money she's a sitting duck. Allegedly, Hank Harrison is supposed to be bringing out his book in 2005. While it may not be totally reliable (probably one of the reasons why he's having such trouble publishing it) it will suceed in directing more people to the murder theory... Axxx
