As for discussing her acts everything has a reason some people are under magnifying glass (like Courtney) some are not. However I like Courtney and Hole coz of her/theirs music not coz of her/theirs personal life/s you should do the same by criticising (only thing ur capable of) not by discussing & judging every little detaile of her life. It's easy to believe that those stats could be right.
Courtney Love with her stupid antics has made herself an object of ridicule - you just have to do a namecheck of her on google news and it thows up countless references of derision in articles that have nothing to do with her: 'more drugged up than Courtney Love' 'Crazier than Courtney Love' and so forth...
Her name has become synonymous with crazy junkie out of control behaviour and has totally overshadowed her musicianship or acting. Coupled with the knowledge that she's a sensationalist attention desperate famewh0re who likes to phone up press editors, or will spend hours incoherently rambling on phone ins, it's not suprising that the public feel repulsed by her. Her name often appears on the most annoying celebrities list alongside, Anna Nicole Smith & Paris Hilton. I think that everyone is just sick of her, and her disgusting displays of exhibitionism.
I don't think that the media are totally to blame and I don't think that it's sexist since there are other countless women in rock with longer careers than hers that aren't reported on so negatively. She's made a lot of dumb choices and done some unbelievably idiotic things so she can only blame herself for inspiring the sort of public reputation she has.
She's a celebrity and if a celebrity f*cks up then the media are going to be around to report it. It comes with the territory. If she'd chosen to stay as a unknown stripper crackwh0re in Alaska then her behavior wouldn't come under the kind of scrutiny that it does. Maybe it would have suited her better?

croatian boy this board isn't about discussing courtney's music. its about discussing courtney. just because she is famous doesn't mean she isn't human and cannot be judged for the wrong things she does. Your right about that she is a celebrity and she is human who can make mistakes, throw a stone if you are without a sin ! Andrea tell me if it was about a male rock star who attacks a guy just because hes near his ex girlfriend , would that be ok ? Girl media is usually sexist coz it's leaded by males. If the male rock star does some nuts than thats cool not getting on main page but whan that does a Courtney then shes a bad person and gets all over the tabloids etc. etc. Then you get 3 people who make a list of annoying females and you as "smart" person take that as a fact. Lmao ! Again like I said before only problem with Courtney is coz shes a woman in rock music and she will always be under magnifying glass . Pointing a finger at Courtney coz shes the only true female rock star left and acts like it you can't accept that coz your love for your "hero I simple love people too much" is blocking you lmao. |

Did you know that nearly all of the journalists that Courtney has assaulted have been females? Lynne Hirschberg, Victoria Clarke, Belissa Cohen, etc. Remind me to send you a list of all the other women in rock. You may find that some of them don't have criminal behaviour. Your last sentence? It was all over the papers and news but whan you have something like that with guys you get few sentence and flesh news. And yes I do agree violence should be treathed the same but when it comes to female celebities media usually from a fly make an elephan so it could be a bigger news. You seem to believe that when a man rock star assaults someone it's not a big deal, but when a female rock star does it's in the media spotlight for weeks.Please give me an example of a male rock star who assaulted someone and wasn't given the time of the of day.Then maybe we can be on the same page.
I think sexism is just an excuse you kittyradioers use to let Courtney's behavoir slide by.Well I don't mean to burst you're bubble, but that's not the case.Courtney gets the attention she does not because she is a woman but because of how random and obscene her actions are.No matter what she may say that is still the case.For example she was given a lot of attention when one of her fans sucked her plastic t*it outside of a Wendys.Do you think that if say Paul McCartney got a blowjob outside of Wendys that people would overlook it?Really I have such difficulty seeing eye to eye with your bullocks.

During an interview with rolling stone magazine courtney accidently mentioned a second note. One she didn't read to the public, containing information about how Kurt was leaving seattle and courtney. (He had filed for a divorce from courtney two weeks before his "suicide"). Just a theory, but I think that it was probably the second page to that note, which was a divorce note. But instead Courtney kept the second page and created her own ending on the first, making it look suicid-ish.

You can't seriously believe that can you? Don't you think that if Courtney was planning to kill her husband she wouldn't be that sloppy? Seriously what is she the dumbest murderer in history? No person in their right mind would leave 'evidence' like that in the bottom of a bag that they were leaving at a friends place and they certainly wouldn't leave it in the eyes of someone like Tom Grant [which is the person who illegally swiped 'evidence'- a handwriting fragment from Courtney's home]. This shows that everythings been misinterpreted. Kurts attorney found a pracitce-handwriting sheet in C.Loves backpack. All the letters she tried practicing were letters used in the last four lines.. Also his distinct "a's" were in the letter. |
