This is a picture of the original so-called suicide note. Take a close look at the last 4 lines at the bottom of the note; see a difference? It looks similar, but if you notice, it's written in a larger hand and there are some differences in the writing. I thought it would be interesting to post and let you draw your own conclusions.

It looks like whoever wrote that was trying to make it perfect and then gave up and finished it in a rush.They started writing the Courtney and Frances I'll be at your alter line at a size medium and then they started writing huge.

Okay, I'm better. Anyways, I agree it does. Frances and Courtney is written pretty much the same size as most of the body of the letter, but suddenly the letters get very huge. I know that it's common for letters size to change and writing to alter, but the problem is, it only altered at the very end of the letter. He must have been writing that letter for a very long time; why suddenly change at the very last line? That type of writing can't be found really in the body of the letter. It only changes at the bottom. In the scheme of things that may not mean anything, but it certainly warrants a second look and even a third and forth. If this is suicide, won't reopening the case settle that once and for all?

The letter size changes, but they handwriting does not. All the letters in the bottom lines are the same as kurt wrote them in the body of the letter. the word CAPT, however, is not kurts handwriting. Unless the whole letter is faked, then it is probably all his handwriting.

The A in capt comes to a point at the top, kurts are rounded
the P in capt has a loop on the vertical line, kurts dont
the T in capt has a gap where the horizontal line meets the vertical.

But if you look at the last four lines they are all consistant with the way kurt wrote. If courtney faked the last lines she did a very good job at it, better than i care to give her any credit for. At her most sober she would not be able to match kurts handwriting or writing style.

Don't underestimate Courtney. Remember, Rosemary Carroll, her entertainment attorney and good friend found pratice handwriting samples in Courtney's backpack, which Courtney had left at Rosemary's house. It looked almost as if she was trying to forge a note.

Also, several handwriting experts looked at the note and the majority agreed the last 4 lines were written in a different hand.

you guys are so pathetic....deliberating over the handwriting on a suicide note!!! for gods sake people, this guy killed himself!!! if you are suggesting that courtney forged the last few lines, your all crazy. she loved the guy! why would she want to make it look like he loved her+frances when she knew he did-we all knew.
if any of you had read kurt's biog., then youd all know that he wrote all up to 'peace, love, empathy, kurt cobain' and then went into the greenhouse. he injected himself with 6 times the lethal dose of heroin and then wrote the last few lines, of course his handwriting is different, hes high as a kite by this point!
so you guys should think of something else to do thatn diss courtney. and this website?! dudes, your all very sad, sadist people.

i agree that it was courtney that killed Kurt if you think about it, apparently Kurt had taken enough smack to blow the head of a rhino so his writing isnt likely to be all that neat is it?! BUT as much as i hate to say it its about time that the police dropped the case I mean...it was nearly a decade ago. But whether or not the note is fake it still makes me cry so courtney must have been a REALLY writer.

Yeah also with the writing being in different styles kurt signed his name pretty much ending the note.. Then the different hand writing comes into play, also courtney love was found having a practice-handwriting sheet and if you look at all the letters used in the bottom of the note all the letters were used on the practice handwriting sheet.

You can't seriously believe that can you? Don't you think that if Courtney was planning to kill her husband she wouldn't be that sloppy? Seriously what is she the dumbest murderer in history? No person in their right mind would leave 'evidence' like that in the bottom of a bag that they were leaving at a friends place and they certainly wouldn't leave it in the eyes of someone like Tom Grant [which is the person who illegally swiped 'evidence'- a handwriting fragment from Courtney's home]. This shows that everythings been misinterpreted.

at least he cleaned his act up for his daughter. are you talking about the rome od? or was what you said a joke? because the rome one has suspicions to. they claimed it wasn't an overdose until courtney said it after he died. she really cared. can't you tell?

No but I doubt she's dumb enough to leave evidence laying around that could connect her to a crime. Even someone with a 80 iq level would see that as pretty silly.

Kurt didn't clean himself up for his daughter. He was still using drugs up til the day he died, that's why he was in Exodus. He was in rehab when Courtney gave birth. I love Kurt, I think his amazing but I'm not going to pretend that he actually never made a mistake.
