I don't know about that. I think her voice can be quite cathartic and pure. I'm no big Courtney fan but her voice certainly has power.What do you want her to do? End up sounding like Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey. Don't be so f ucken absurd.

Um....I don't think the fact that she's famous and we're not is an issue. She SHOULD be famous for her music--frankly after spending almost an entire day listening to it I've concluded that she is indeed very good (sorry Pigwoman ;D)--but what she's famous for by far is her behavior. The stunts she's pulled lately have subjected her to much criticism and her court cases have given her much more exposure than her music. I understand she's going on tour pretty soon if she hasn't already started but the dates of the tour aren't nearly as well known as the dates of her court hearings. Can people in this forum be very harsh on her? Yes. But then again, she's done nothing positive lately for people to think otherwise of her. It's pretty much all up to her now. If she pulls herself together, gets clean and cleans up her act maybe people will think more highly of her but right now the verdict is in and it doesn't look good for Courtney. I only hope that she's able to turn it all around, for Frances' sake if no other reason. It can't be easy having Courtney Love for a mommy these days.

I agree hippie(except for the voice part). She is only atracting negative attention these days. This is the reason there is a board like this for people who understand that her behaviors are wrong. People who come on this board defending her don't realize that there so called ICON is f**k*ed up, and I'm sorry but she will probably never sober up. I can't even tell when shes sober, and when shes not.
This is why we point out all these things maybe some posts concerning CLove are more offensive than others, but they are mostly all true. Sorry dillusional fans but I strongly dissagree with you about Courtney. I frankly can't stand hole, and Americas Sweet heart was a sh!tty record that junkies like her bought so they could get high to it. No one can understand her even when sober but the out of tune instrumentals and off key vocals are a great mix to people who can't appreciate good music(this is my opinion everyone likes different music thats why theres this sh!t) I rest my case Hole and Courtney suck, pigwomen rules!

Why did she have to sellout like that?Sellout with Celebrity Skin and that new record.I have a suspicion that Courtneys latest dramas are being caused by the fact she wants to be a rock star again and be like she use to be. Courtneys realizsed that she had fans back in the day but now they're gone. I guess she wants to reclaim them. Sorry but it's a little too late for me I think.

Once you think about it the only album of hers that sold ecceptionally well was 'Live Through This'. The rest of her cd's couldn't compare (in sales that is). She has had a few good hits on other cd's though. My guilty pleasure: I love that song Celebrity Skin.

Yes, Live Through This was an amazingly good album; probably her best. Only problem is, that album is the one that Dave Grohl alledges that Courtney stole from Kurt and the rest of Nirvana. If this is ever proven true, then it's not her work, it's Kurts, which explains why it was so amazing. I'd like to think that Courtney didn't steal it but rather was influenced by Kurt in writing it, because I found her to be a surprisingly talented musician. If she's a fake, not only has she made a fool of me but of her fans as well. Does anyone remember the Milli Vanilli scandal in the early 90's? They admitted that their act was a fake and they were lip-synching while other artists provided the vocals and the fans were outraged to the point where their albums were taken and crushed by a steam-roller in one city. They were banished to live in disgrace in LA and finally Rob, I think, committed suicide and Fab hasn't had any work in years. If Courtney "faked" her talent for writing music and it's proven, she may find her former-fans extremely unforgiving and she could lose everything, if she hasn't lost it already.

I want her to scream like she did on teenage sleeper or garbadge man. That was good. I don't how Hole fans from the early days can even come at Celebrity Skin and America's Sweetheart. The songs lack the passion the first two records had. I will admit to loving Northern Star off Celebrity skin. That is a fantastic song. Looks like Tradeoff is parcially taken by the walking study in demonology. Haha.
