You got it, Tradeoff. Okay, I've typed this so many times my fingers know exactly which keys to hit. I could type it in my sleep.  Kurt was happy before his death. His stomach problems were cured back in 1993 after a doctor diagnosed a pinched nerve due to scoliosis and prescribed the right medication. After that, according to Dylan Carlson and other friends, his whole outlook on life changed. He stopped withdrawing into his dark side and was more upbeat and optimistic. He went into rehab after that joke of an "intervention" that Courtney arranged, which included 3 active junkies that Kurt did drugs in, only because Courtney threatened to limit his access to Frances. As to Courtney and Kurt loving each other, it is an established fact that they were getting a divorce. Kurt had written a will that excluded Courtney and it was drawn up waiting to be signed before he died. Kurt didn't hate touring; he loved it because at home he was an emotional cripple around his wife and on tour he got to be the boss. His last tour was cancelled due to bronchitis, not because he hated it. Since Kurt's death Courtney's behavior has been both violent and skanky. This is a woman who slept with Billy Corgan only three weeks after his death; who was seen in 1995 chasing an old girlfriend of Kurt's, Mary Lou Lord, up the street in LA screaming "I'm gonna kill you!" She strips onstage, has her picture taken of her getting a bikini wax and lying naked in the streets of london on the morning of Christmas eve. She flashes her false boobs every chance she gets despite the fact she has a young daughter; she ODed in front of her child and had her brew her some green tea while waiting for the ambulance to come. She blew through Kurt's money in less then 10 years and claims the bank "stole" it. She never pays her bills and her house is being foreclosed on, as well as the houses she brought both her mother-in-law and sister-in-law and skipped out of her last hotel room without paying. I could go on and on about her but my fingers are getting numb. She doesn't rock; she's not a nice person and takes care of Courtney first, last and always. She is a woman whose defied Karma one too many times and I guarantee, despite her efforts to get her life back together, she's heading for a major collapse and when she hits it, she's going to lose her money, her "stuff" and worst of all, her daughter. Nice lady. |

Ha, hopefully people don't think i approve of courtney since i've been defending her (it would only make sense, though!) so let me get the record straight on my part.
I most certainly DO NOT approve of Courtney's behavior. I've said she was funny. she was funny. i should have said that it stopped being funny when she had a kid. when i say funny i dont mean that her drug use was funny...drugs are NEVER funny. what i meant was that her attitude was funny and she just did whatever she wanted. she wanted people to hate her because she thought it was amusing, i'm sure.
however, her actions are disgusting and I can almost not stand her at all as a person.
her music is amazing, though...it's weird how someone i really dont like can make music i love. she was totally fearless...it's hard to be female and try to sing the same kind of music as all the big burly screaming men. her lyrics are deep and emotional and i respect her for having that talent.
don't jump on me for saying these things, either, because i'm aloud to think whatever i want. i don't need a bunch of immature kurt fans saying that courtney killed kurt and she was worthless/stupid/a bad musician etc. that's fine that you think that and express it in a civil way. by all means! i just odn't like being attacked by people for speaking my mind (I don't think i've said/done anything to offend anyone so far...)

I just happen to fall on this site and being a music fan, and a big Courtney Love/hole fan I thought I would take a look at what people were saying about Courtney now. It is always so amussing to me to see how easily people can form such strong opinions on topics they really don't know too much about. All of the people on here that are well read on the "who killed kurt" crap must have an IQ below 80 to buy into any of that. If you actually see some of the people who claim these ideas to be true, or read into their background a bit you'll understand why I say that. Courtney Love is not a perfect person, and I would take a guess that none of you are either. She is however, a woman who fought from the very bottom to make it to the top, and actually did it. She made something out of herself, and not always by going the easy route or the most flattering, but still made it to where she wanted to be.That is something to respect and something people can never take away from her no matter how much you want to tear her down. She is still more of a somebody than I would guess anyone on here is. I really liked the post from the girl who wrote about how upset Kurt would get when people would try to make Courtney out to be a horrible person. Maybe some of you die hard nirvana fans should remember that. And anyways, it's not healthy to be on the computer making fun of someone else to make you feel better about yourself. Go out in the world and use your energy for something more productive that will make where we live a nicer place, and make you a better person. It was lovely sharing my thoughts with you all. Im also not putting her down for drug use and Im not putting her down because Im a hopelessy obssessive Nirvana/Kurt Cobain fan. Im putting her down because she is a bad person who is not worthy of having people look up to her.Hopefully no one follows in her footsteps. Im putting her down cause she gives a bad and hypocritical name and embarress the feminists and riot grrrls around the world. |
