tom grant isn't doing this for fame. if anything he has more people hating him than liking. he's not even rich. he has run out of money and still he never gave up on this case. the killing? just because you read a book about one case doesn't make all of the others the same.

Yes they may not be the same but I'm highlighting an important fact here, people will do anything to be the public eye. Do you think Tom Grant would have a website, be in movies or be percieved as the most knowledgable about this idea if he didn't want to be the public eye. It has nothing to do with money it's about fame and contrary to popular belief those two things don't follow each other around. Tom Granys a fame w0re.

Halperin and Wallace did a thorough background check of Tom Grant before including him in the book. The one thing they were struck by was his reputation for integrity. There was absolutely nothing in his background that was above reproach and his record was spotless. He did not receive one penny of profit from the book, nor has he received a dime for investigating this case. He nearly bankrupted himself with this case and today doesn't work as a PI anymore, although he still has his license. He has been offering evidence bit by bit to get the case reopened. If he laid all his cards on the table at once everything would immediately become public knowledge and it would be twisted in so many horrible ways the case won't stand a chance of being reopened. He has presented the police very solid evidence that warranted the case being reopened and the case of death being changed to "undetermined." But for some reason the police resisted. Sargeant Cameron told Wallace and Halperin that if they could provide him with enough evidence to reopen the case, he would do so, but when they went to present the evidence, they were escorted off the premises under the threat of being arrested and Cameron could be clearly seen, on film, hiding behind some papers, peeking out at them. This is on the film being showed in Halifax Canada. It was shot while they were doing research.
At one point, when the polygraph results from El Duce were in, the SPD started to reopen the case, but quickly closed it again when El Duce came up dead. This is also in the book.

Exactly, she's famewh0re like Tom Grant. It must pretty hard being a leech on a the biggest leech of all though. Hippie with all due respect I hardly think Halperian and co are in the best postion to decide somebodys integrity when they are Tom Grant considering there aims are the same. That's called a conflict of interest. It creates bias.

Nope. He's not alive he's dead, and the reason he didn't fight back was because Valium was mixed with the Root Beer at the crime scene.

Its been ten years and he's still working on the case. That should tell you that if he was once doing it for fame that's no longer the case.

Umm im not really sure about him being alive but i do have some reasuring thoughts to u guys who think its all just crap. in his "The Man who sold the world" if the name of the song gives a clue he sold the world he told a lie and evry 1 beleived him. lets look at the lyrics shall we.
We passed upon the stairs, We spoke of was and when Although I wasn’t there He said I was his friend Which came as a surprise I spoke into his eyes -- I thought you died alone <HINT!long long time ago
Oh no, not me,< BIGGER HINT!! We never lost control, You’re face to face,<<< With the man who sold the world<<< HINT
I laughed and shook his hand, I made my way back home, I searched for form and land, Years and years I roamed, I gazed a gazely stare, We walked a million hills -- I must have died alone, A long long time ago.
Who knows, not me,< COME ON A HINT!! I never lost control,< HINT You’re face, to face,< HINT With the man who sold the world. < HINT HINT HINT!!!

The Man Who Sold The World. Songwriting credits go to David Bowie and not Kurt Cobain. It was a cover. So deciphering anything from it's lyrics is pretty pointless.
