I think you should pack up the kids & do a day trip before Halloween is over, there's no better time to do it. LOVE the witch musems & Dracula's Castle... And it's New England so it's beautiful.

Yeah, New England is beautiful. I'm a native New Englander; born in boston and raised on the South Shore. I even root for the Red Sox even though I know they're going to lose. Bambino Curse and all that. Jim is from New York, Dobbs Ferry, so he's a Yankees fan. I love him anyway. ;D Last week we took the kids to the King Richards Fair in Carver. We dressed them up like princesses and they had a great time. It cost a bloody fortune but it made them happy. Maybe we should do Salem next; Halloween is the perfect time of year. I'll look it up.
Back in 1984 when I was 22 I worked in a dinner/theater called "The Daniel Webster" in Laconia, NH. The man who ran the theater, Frank Lambert, made a contract with the state of New Hampshire to begin productions on 4 plays that summer and he went all out; he hired professional actors, technicians and directors from New York and told me and a few other wanna-be's that we would be apprenticing with them to learn the craft thoroughly, be in huge shows and meet people who could bolster our careers. He even made a huge production of it in the local press. I had worked at his dinner theater in Meredith the previous year, enjoying it tremendously and I loved and admired him so much I believed everything he said. He was the epitome of sophistication and wisdom to me. A very worldy man indeed. Then one day, still early in the summer, he suddenly didn't have any money; none of us got paid. He hemmed and hawed and made all sorts of elaborate promises of payment that never came through, finding one excuse after another. Finally the State came in and found the restaurant wasn't up to par and the theater was a safety hazzard and closed the place down before it could begin. Frank promised to bring it up to par immediately; I trusted him wholeheartedly, never doubting he would. I knew he'd make it alright and the shows would go on as planned. When the rest of the crew grumbled I hotly defended him; He was my idol. He was a god who could do anything. Instead, he took the money he had collected from the state to put the shows on, about $300,000.00 and ran to Canada and we never heard from him again. I was devastated, as was everyone else. The New York Crew was pissed. Many of the actors and technical crew had already subleted their apartments thinking they were going to spend the summer in New Hampshire; He left us flat and we couldn't go after him legally because he was in another country. I never forgave him, to this day everytime I think of him and how he used my trust I feel burning hatred at him for dashing my hopes so cruelly. What was suppose to be an awesome experience was a crashing disappointment and he knew what he was doing to me but the money was more important than a young girls trust and dreams. I hope he's dead now and burning in hell right for what he did to me; to all of us. That's what I mean by idolizing and feet of clay. I had him on a pedestal and it came crashing down on me. Which is why I'm warning you about idolizing Courtney; sooner or later she may disappoint you, maybe even devastate you, especially if the Cobain case gets reopened. Guard your feelings and remember, your idol is human too and therefore not infallible. Admire all you want; just be careful.
