Yes Courtney Love is certainly brilliant. Gotta give credit to the ol broad where it's due:

Brilliant at being one of rocks biggest f*ck ups and losers for which she is sure to be remembered. There just isn't anyone else quite as talented as her for stupid behavior - junkie, famewh0re, bad mother, liar, sleazehag, advocate of violence; hype; and for saying some of the most stupidest things I've read last year in the music press ('I'm a catalog artist: I compete with Bob Dylan' ,'I'm the best writer of this generation' "I have a magic girl thingy," she announces. 'If you f*ck me, you become a king. I'm a kingmaker.','I'm not a drug addict,' etc).

Amongst her achievements she is practically up there with the greats on every media newslist of Losers of 2004 (gotta keep your name in the papers, wouldn't want anybody to forget you). Now that's some achievement! She might risk losing her crown to Pete Doherty of the Libertines who according to Rolling Stone ' may be more f**ked up than Courtney Love -- he's certainly a better songwriter', but my money's still on Courtney Love. Pete Doherty has still to get himself photographed outside a Wendy with somebody sucking on his weiner; and to have a daughter that he can OD in front of, to surpass Courtney's antics, but then again she's ahead of the game as she's been doing this crazy sh*t for close to 25 years... Ask anyone on the streets who they think is skanky and voila! Courtney Love gets a mention! That's some fame! Courtney Love must be real proud of herself!

Does Eric Erlandson write music or is he strictly guitar playing? I don't know much about Pretty on the Inside so it's pure speculation on my part, but maybe he helped her write it.

Can Courtney read music? I know she hasn't had any formal training but can she sight read?

Eric contributed to Celebrity Skin some, and he is credited on every song he helped create. Courtney wrote all the lyrics on Pretty On The Inside, as well as Live Through This, and Celebrity Skin. She has never hid the fact that she needs help in the actual song structure though. Kurt's vocals are actually on every track on Live Through This. You can actually hear him on Softer Softest.

I assure you that Eric Erlandson contributes to the music. Courtney writes the lyrics. And just because Courtney can't read music doesn't mean anything. Kurt Cobain never learnt to read music, he just learnt to play songs by ear.

I can't read music. But I can work most stuff out by ear. Recently. Capdown. Bush. No Comply. Wildhearts. The. Etc...and so on. Being musically competent has nothing to do with ability. Everyone i know who has any sort of musical ability knows nothing about technicality music wise. If you can play you can f**king play!.
