Mmm, Although I acknowledge that Courtney is a notoriously violent person I would argue that she could plead provocation to this case, as the girls did provoke and want to provoke a reaction. I think Courtney would win based on that score. Besides, how intelligent holding up signs with immature slogans on them that don't outline any facts whatsoever. If they want to protest Courtney possibly they should stop purchasing Nirvana memorabilla but I doubt they'd want to part with that. Pseudo witchtrial. |

Hey Love stinks how are you?No one legally has the right to provoke someone to be violent and then sue them for it. That's unconstitutional. Technically you can plead provocation and not be charged. Courtney would win based on that score. What they do need to do is define opinion and abuse, since they outlined no facts on their placards I would argue it is abuse. They didn't specify why they believed Courtney was a murderer. Therefore Courtney could plead provocation. Calling someone a freak,murderer or whatever needs to have facts behind it, otherwise it's just slander.And even if those facts exist those girls didn't highlight them in their protest aganist Courtney. Further, this concept doesn't work at an anti courtney love board with someone who is pro Courtney because one, people aren't kicking the nuts out of each other and two, it is completely amonymous. Besides, the pro Courtney could argue that this board is founded on the idea of creating passionate debate about Courtney. Since that is all that happens here. |
