Excellent post, Whatever. I completely agree with it. Let me add this, concerning the SPD from my web-ring:
I just heard on the local news this morning that a SPD cop got pulled over for drunk driving by a WSP officer. The SPD cop threatened to kill the WSP cop.
Corruption runs rampant in the SPD. Sargeant Cameron, who was in charge of Kurt's case, was found guilty of corruption recently for pocketing money that was suppose to be evidence. Before they could charge him he quietly resigned in disgrace. Also, an officer who was chasing a mentally challanged shoplifter shot and killed him when he reached for his pocket despite the fact that 30 officers were surrounding the perp. There are hotheads on that force who use the badge to bully others; this from a member of my webring who lives in Seattle. He was harrassed for sitting on a bench in the park and told to move on because he looked "suspicious" despite the fact he was doing nothing but reading. He got the officers name and badge number and reported him but nothing came of it and the officer was quietly transfered. I don't trust the SPD--I fully believe they bungled the investigation badly and rather than admitting their mistake, they tried to cover their tracks. They put professional pride over justice and someone, maybe Courtney, maybe someone else, got away with murder. I believe Kurt was murdered because of the heroin levels in his system; nobody could shoot up that much heroin and do what he supposedly did before he shot himself. It's impossible. I don't believe in the "tolerance" theory because three times the lethal dosage is too high even for the most hardcore junkie. He was murdered and it was made to look like a suicide. The question is, who did it? Courtney? maybe. She looks mighty suspicious but in order to ascertain that fact, the case MUST be reopened.
