Shes violated her probabtion. She can't give up drugs for the sake of her daughter and runs the risk of losing custody again. What a worthless piece of trash. Hope she rots in hell after spending a long time in the can.

August 11, 2005 latimes.com Love Is Ordered Back to Court to Face ChargesThe singer may have violated probation last month in an alleged drug incident at a hotel.By Andrew Blankstein, Times Staff Writer Troubled rock musician Courtney Love on Wednesday was ordered to appear in a Los Angeles courtroom to face charges she violated probation during an alleged drug incident last month at a Hollywood hotel. Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Rand S. Rubin ordered Love to appear in court Aug. 19 after prosecutors in court papers said the singer was allegedly under the influence of a controlled substance. Deputy Dist. Atty. Gina Satriano later confirmed that the allegation stemmed from events July 21 at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel. Love received three years' probation in Rubin's court in February after pleading guilty to a misdemeanor assault charge. The musician allegedly threw a liquor bottle at a 32-year-old woman she found sleeping on the sofa of her former boyfriend's home. Love is also on probation in a 2003 felony drug possession case. She was arrested for allegedly breaking windows in a Wilshire-area home, and eventually pleaded guilty to illegal possession of the painkillers oxycodone and hydrocodone. Probation violation proceedings in both cases will be consolidated before Rubin. In the latest incident, Love was attending an entertainment industry party for a jeans company when her publicist said she felt faint and went outside for air. A friend called an ambulance "for precaution," the publicist said, and Love was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. An LAPD spokeswoman initially told The Times that "Courtney Love overdosed at the Roosevelt and was transported to Cedars-Sinai hospital around midnight." Later in the day, however, police declined further comment and identified the victim only as "Courtney L." Rubin asked Love's drug counselor for progress reports from the alcohol and drug addiction programs that she was required to attend under the terms of her probation. District attorney spokeswoman Jane Robison said the Hollywood Roosevelt case would be referred to the city attorney for a possible filing. Frank Mateljan, a spokesman for the Los Angeles city attorney's office, said lawyers were reviewing the results of a preliminary inquiry. Love, 41, was not required to be in court Wednesday. Attorney Michael Rosenstein, who is representing her, said he might have something to say on the case next week. Love is the former lead singer of the band Hole and the widow of Nirvana band leader Kurt Cobain, who killed himself in 1994 after a long battle with heroin addiction. It's unclear how Love's ongoing legal troubles will affect custody of her daughter with Cobain. Love had been restricted to court-supervised visits with her child, but this year regained full custody of Frances Bean Cobain. www.latimes.com/news/local/state/la-me-courtney11aug11,1,6452696.story?coll=la-news-state

Tearful Love Back to Rehab by Joal Ryan Aug 19, 2005, 1:15 PM PT When Courtney Love said she'd been clean and sober for 365 days, apparently she didn't mean consecutively. The rocker-actress was due back in drug rehab after breaking down in a Los Angeles courtroom Friday morning and admitting to a relapse that violated her probation and flew in the face of recent public denials. Superior Court Judge Rand Rubin ordered Love to check into a 28-day treatment facility by 5 p.m. It could have been worse: Rubin talked aloud about sending Kurt Cobain's widow straight to jail, musing, "I think you need to hit rock bottom before you make a decision [about] what you're going to do in the future." For the immediate future, Love is due back in court Sept. 16 for sentencing on a trio of probation violations. "I think you either need a long-term drug program, or a long term in county jail," Rubin warned. Following the hearing, defense attorney Howard Weitzman told reporters that his star client was "serious," "sincere" and "pretty tenacious about getting her life in order." Love's life seemed out of order back in July when she was rushed from a Hollywood hotel to a nearby hospital via an ambulance. At the time, the star's camp chalked up the scare to a general not-feeling-well malaise--nausea, dizziness, etc. But last week, the L.A. County District Attorney's Office said it suspected an unidentified "controlled substance" was at fault. Given her legal status, Love can't afford such suspicions. The police-blotter frequenter is on probation for a misdemeanor assault conviction and two misdemeanor drug convictions. And while Love last month was found to be in compliance with the terms of one of the drug cases, Friday's admission of a slipup puts her in violation of all three. Only eight months ago, Love, 41, was vowing to "move forward with [her] life in a healthy and positive way." Only a month ago, she was saying that her newly filled-out form was a sign that she was off drugs. Only 12 days ago, she was at the Comedy Central roast for Pamela Anderson, bellowing "I've been sober for a year!" On Friday, there were no bold declarations, just a tear-choked voice when the judge asked if Love understood that she had violated her probation three times over by copping to drug use. Replied Love: "Yes, your honor." www.eonline.com/News/Items/0,1,17188,00.html?fdnews
