(c/o Tom Slant no doubt)
Cases get reopened when something new and compelling is brought to light..
That has not yet happened in this case
(and it sure as hell is not present in this petition)
Quotes are from petition:
"Police proceeded to dust the shotgun for fingerprints, but discovered no identifiable fingerprints on the gun itself."
**Yeah, "no identifiable fingerprints "
but there were 4 or 5 prints..so supposedly when the criminals wiped the weapon they only left smudged prints but took away all the legible prints. (uhuh) (in other places people say there we 'no prints' not true/
it goes on...
"The most startling part of the report was that blood tests showed that Cobain had 1.52 milligrams of morphine per litre in his bloodstream. When heroin is injected into the body, it almost instantly becomes morphine. The 1.52mg of heroin per litre is also considered three times the lethal amount of heroin. Enough to instantly incapacitate a person, even the heaviest of an addict. *It is a myth that an addict has a higher tolerance to the amount of heroin injected.*"
**A flat out lie! (or ignorance of a person who knows nothing of opiate addiction, and has another agenda to pursue)
There is a hhhhuuuuuggge difference!!!
It's hard to imagine just how severely tolerance builds with regular heroin use if you've not experinced it yourself.
This is what killed Bradley Nowell, the singer from Sublime (he had gone into detox, then came out w/the lower tolerance, (when you stop using it drops dramatically in the other direction) and shot an amount of heroin that in the weeks prior was probably just the right amount he needed to get high and he died as a result of the difference in his tolerance (that's even more tragic as it was accidental,.
Only one of the costs of 'prohibition'/))
It doesn't matter how a drug is ingested into the bloodstream, (the petition says, tolerance is not true for 'heroin injected') Total crap) The amount going into the bloodstream and the tolerance of the user are all that matter, eos.
(whether you shoot snort smoke or stick it into your ass (as people sometimes did with opium at the turn of the century, it don't matter)
Tolerance builds so that a user who could get high on a matchheads worth of powder can later ingest 100 times that amount and not get high as nicely as s/he did on that little bit that once got them wasted.
and this is the arguement for the petition. (!!)
I only wish someone had something good. I so wanted to believe it when I started studying the case..
I hate the thought that he killed himself.. but when life is less appealing than death, and you have that feeling year in, year out, it's your natural right as a human being to end your own life. As Krist said, we have the music.
That Kurt he left the house to kill himself is telling,
he also took a couple of towels along from the main house, no doubt thinking of the person that would clean the mess up.. I would not be surprised if he wiped everything down ahead of time to get Dylan's or the store clerk's prints off the box of shells and the gun itself, ahead of time. He was very thoughtful of others/
The few prints that were found were unusable b/c they were smudged probably from the recoil of the blast and the loosening of the gun from his grip days later when he was found.
here is something on opiate tolerance and Cobains death:
