It is always interesting to read the viewpoints of people and what they think happened to Kurt Cobain. Having grown up in Seattle and spent a lot of time in Aberdeen, Washington and Hoquiam where Kurt was born and lived before coming to Olympia and Seattle, I had the chance of meeting him briefly when a group got together and played. I was visiting my grandparents who lived in Aberdeen at the time. Who knew I met someone who would change the face of music. I loved his sound and at the time was trying to get my own girl band together. Seattle during the late 80's early 90's was a great place and there was so much going on. I never really got my music career off and running, but that doesn't mean I don't still pick my guitar up and jam out. My 7 year old daughter loves it that her 36 year old mom can rock. Seattle had so many things going on then and I have to say the police force sucked!! There was the awful rape and murder of Mia Zappata in '92 in Capital Hill (that place was crazy, but great), there was the Green River Killer and then Kurt. Amazing that they finally caught the Green River Killer and now finally found the true killer of Mia. And the drugs, my god, the amount of Herion that was coming through that city. You could get the purest stuff around. Alot of my friends overdosed and a few died. The stuff was so pure. Of course I got hooked and luckily found my way to NA, where I later believe that Kurt was also going to the same meeting that I was. Of course, I have no proof of this. Several of us were convinced it was him, just because of the way he talked, but we weren't about to ask him, so I will never know. If it was, then that was a person who was truly headed somewhere and drugs were not going to be involved. I have no opinion either way about Courtney, but if she is somehow involved and Kurt did not intentionally kill himself then she or who ever needs to be brought to justice. It seems so ironic that Kristen Pfaff would die of a heroin overdose. God what a talented person. I quit playing after that and got a career as a paralegal. I miss playing every day, but I miss not having Nirvana around more. They were truly an inspiration musically. There are too many inconsistencies though and the case should be opened and looked into. SPD was too quick to rule it suicide. They didn't spend enough time looking into the evidence and wouldn't hear any theories and were too quick to believe Courtney Love. I do not believe Rome was a suicide attempt. Rohypnal was not Kurt's drug of choice and again too many inconsistencies. Too many questions that need to be answered. Kurt Cobain was a very talented person. May he RIP. Let's also think about Frances Bean and how all this affects her. It is clear that Courtney cannot keep herself off drugs and that she has a very violent nature to her. Actions speak louder than words.
